Hurdle’s Jewelry has been a cornerstone of Boulder for more than seventy-five years, proudly serving the community with fine jewelry, exceptional craftsmanship, and a tradition of trust that spans four generations. Established in 1947 by Chester L. Hurdle, our store began as a small jewelry business on Pearl Street and has since grown into one of the most respected family-owned jewelers in Colorado.
From the very beginning, our mission has been to provide not just jewelry, but meaningful heirlooms that carry stories through the generations. Over the decades, we have become known as Boulder’s trusted destination for engagement rings, wedding bands, fine gemstones, estate pieces, and custom jewelry design.

Meet Nicole Hurdle
Today, Hurdle’s Jewelry is led in part by Nicole Hurdle, the fourth generation of the Hurdle family to continue this tradition. After earning her degree in business management from the University of Colorado Boulder, Nicole joined the family store more than a decade ago. In 2022, she was awarded the prestigious Beatrice Shipley Scholarship by the American Gem Society and GIA, recognizing her commitment to excellence in gemology.
Nicole brings a fresh perspective to Hurdle’s while honoring the values that have defined the store since 1947. From curating timeless designs at shows like JCK Las Vegas and AGTA Tucson to expanding the store’s estate and consignment collections, she continues to carry the Hurdle name forward with warmth, integrity, and an eye for beauty that lasts.
